Cox Transfer, Inc. is a Midwest regional transportation carrier established in 1972, who has received safety awards from Great West Casualty Company since 2008. “Safety comes first at Cox Transfer. Our drivers make sure that their loads are secure and conditions are safe to drive in. We are proud to receive this award in recognition of a job well done by our drivers and support staff. March 1st, 2015PrePass in all trucks!
Cox Transfer, Inc. now has a PrePass in each truck. This automatic vehicle identification system will allow the trucks to be pre-screened at designated weigh stations and port-of-entry facilities. Cleared trucks are then able to “bypass” the facility and continue on their route.

August 14th, 2014Cox Transfer, Inc. is rated a 1 in all 8 US EPA Smartway categories.
3,021 carriers in the United States are US EPA Smartway Partners based on Calendar year 2013 data, recently published on the Smartway website. Carriers are ranked in 8 categories based on fuel emissions. Cox Transfer, Inc. is one of 106 carriers nationally to receive a 1 rating in all 8 categories. This was achieved by scoring in the top 20% of all carriers in all categories, and only 3.5% of carriers received a 1 rating in all 8 categories. President, Mark Voudrie, credits this accomplishment to the teamwork of all Cox Transfer, Inc. employees.
May 26th, 2014Cox Transfer, Inc. Receives Platinum 2013 National Safety Award
South Sioux City, Nebraska – Cox Transfer, Inc. was presented a Platinum award by Great West Casualty Company as part of the 2013 National Safety Awards Program. Cox Transfer, Inc. is an over the road van, flatbed, intermodal and transportation management company which has served its customers since 1972.
The National Safety Awards program recognizes carriers in similar operations (truckload and less than truckload) with awards based on their year-end preventable accident results. Carriers are eligible to receive a Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Participatory award. This past year, the National Safety Awards program drew over 750 participants from across the country.

February 1st, 2014I-Pass is now used for Tolls
As of February 1, 2014 all drivers using toll roads in Illinois have an I-Pass.
December 23rd, 2013Central Illinois Tornado Relief Fund benefits from Cox Transfer, Inc. Christmas Project
Cox Transfer, Inc. employees collected monetary donations for their Christmas project this year. The money was donated to Central Illinois Tornado Relief Fund through the American Red Cross.
December 13th, 2013All Cox Transfer, Inc. Drivers are on Electronic Logs
Members of our Drivers Training Team succeeded in training and transitioning all of our drivers to electronic logs by December of 2013. All Cox Transfer, Inc. drivers will use electronic logs!

Cox Transfer, Inc. completed an operations remodel, which will help us to serve our customers and drivers in a timely manner. The new office space allows us to work closer together in order to communicate better from customer service, load planning, and driver managers.
March 27th, 2013Cox Transfer, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Horton Trucking
Eureka, IL, March 27, 2013 – Cox Transfer, Inc. a growing over the road van, flatbed, and transportation management company, is pleased to announce the purchase of Horton Trucking Inc. of Tremont, IL. The purchase on April 1, 2013 will include a lease of the Tremont, IL terminal. Clayton Horton, the President of Horton Trucking, Inc., who has over 30 years’ experience in the flatbed industry will help to ensure a smooth transition for Horton Trucking Inc. customers.
Mark Voudrie, President of Cox Transfer, Inc., commented, “We are excited to continue the expansion of our Flatbed Division to include long haul by servicing Horton Trucking Inc. current customer base, and providing long haul flatbed service to our current customers. This is the first in a series of strategic acquisitions we will make over the next 36 months.” Additionally, Sam Gronewold, Flatbed Dispatch Supervisor was quoted as saying, “Acquiring Horton Trucking will take our division to the next level. Growth has been in Mark’s strategic plan for the Flatbed Division since he purchased Cox Transfer in the fall of 2011. The fleet has almost quadrupled in size. This is just the beginning of a lot of great news and growth for this organization!”
